Casual Friday at the Disney Concert Hall

Hosted wine 🍷 and conversation in the Garden then Beethoven with Emmanuel Ax on piano conducted by Nathalie Stutzmann. If that was not enough - then a talk-back and drinks with the symphony. A spectacular evening where we met new Angelenos and bathed in the brilliance of the LAPhill.

LOS ANGELES WOMENS MARCH 2020

Over 350,000 women, girls, and men took to the street on January 18th to say NO to trump, no to years of inequality, and YES to change. I was happy to march with my sisters through the streets of Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES CITY HALL

Broad museum

So close to the Broad that I can just stop in for an hour to look st a piece or two. Today Barbra Kruger drew my attention with this piece screened on to plexus glass. MOCA Geffen also has a timely mural up on the side of the museum.

DTLA walking home

Walking home from the train I notice how stunning the Disney Concert Hall becomes at night. From the shine and stainless steel sparkle in the sunlight to the stealth gunmetal grey shapes flowing into the dusk.

Homeboy Industries

Homeboy Industries is an amazing project that has grown out of the desire to offer alternatives to gang life in places like East LA's Boyle Heights. Visting the Homegirl Cafe offered excellent food, a slice of LA history, and support for an at risk community. Check out AMAZON PRIME documentary which provides background into a remarkable cross-cultural community welcoming all.
